For players only, not JR:

Sam Mills - Most influential/symbolic player ever, pretty much nuff said.

Delhomme - Best QB ever, an "everyman" type player that for the large part of his tenure his teammates rallied around, helped us too multiple playoff wins, and played lights out in our only SB appearence.

Smitty - Best overall player ever, Triple crown for WRs, has given us probably 7 out of the top 10 plays ever for a Panther, hopefully a Carolina lifer, with a few more good years, may be our first produced HOFer

Peppers - Hometown guy, by far the best defensive player we have ever had. I discount Beason because if he retired tomorrow, Peppers was better for longer, and damn near single handidly pushed our franchise back to relevence the second he was drafted.

I can't really think of any other player I'd put in that category.

You could make an argument for Kasay based on longevity, but even he isn't there just yet.
