Don't think he was the same last year after being dinged up so much in 2008. He really was better as a sub than a starter.

Wish him the best, got to give Hurney and Co. so credit considering how well our DT have played. I thought cutting him earlier this year was a bad move, but looks like Hurney gets a point for this one.

And I'll give him a lot more if Greg Hardy ends up being the steal he looks like.

I was more upset by his cut than any of the others, but honestly I've forgotten about him this preseason with the way our D has been rollin' out.

I thought cutting him earlier this year was a bad move considering who else we had on the roster. In retrospect, it was the right thing to do. Got to give credit to Hurney and Co. Our current DT's have played outstanding, and it has been a great surprise. I don't think I'm the only one who thought it was a bad decision in March, but that's why the GM makes a lot more than we do.

Looks to me like the OP said he originally thought it was a bad move, but has reconsidered. Logic looks sound to me.

He may have just not been a good fit for a 3-4 scheme as a DE... he certainly can't play the nose.

He's a classic 3-technique "up tackle" in a 4-3 scheme, same reason Tank Tyler washed out of KC.
