Wouldn't mind the Panthers resigning him to a 1-yr deal. His experience would be invaluable on the DL and he would do well rotating with the younger DTs we have IMO.

Possibly, but our inexperience in the middle of the DL will show early IMO and you can never have enough DT (well you could) with the type of defensive scheme we run.

Umm, I would bring back Damien Lewis in a heartbeat. The guy was a full-time starter last year.

This defense is playing with more heart, more passion, more agression, and faster than any since the 2003 SB season.

i actually like nick hayden more this season. he looks like he's put on some weight, which is what he needed to do.

He's played well after coming back from injury but I still think he gets pushed around too much. I would favor resigning D. Lewis or giving someone like Andre Neblett as shot over keeping him around but that's JMO.

LOL!!!! Yeah, I get it. The Panther should have never acquired Hartwig in the 1st place and were wise to let him go when they did. I never thought Lewis would work out in NE; he doesn't fit their defensive scheme. IMO he would do well as a rotational player as he already knows our system and still has something left in his tank.

49ers waived WR Jason Hill.

Hill was outplayed by Dominique Zeigler in training camp. The 2007 third-rounder has been plagued by injuries, but he's a talent upgrade over several third or fourth receivers around the league. Expect him to be snatched up on waivers.
