Kasay's Field Goals

Kasay had a bad game against Buffalo last year that hurt his numbers. But best I can remember, the team as a whole had a bad day against Buffalo. Maybe it was infectious.

But I agree that the team needs to begin looking for a replacement. He is getting older, and it would be nice to have kickers take up only two roster spots.

But I do understand Fox and or Hurney's reluctance. Consistent fg kickers are not that easy to find.

both were from 51 which should be cake for an NFL kicker. he has lost a lot of leg, which is why he hasn't done kickoffs in awhile. he's accurate from shorter distances but we need a kicker that we can confidently send out to kick 55 yarders and know he'll at least be able to get it there.

just like with other players that have lost a step due to age, it's time to move forward. i know that won't be a popular idea because of the sentimental reasons but for the betterment of the team, it's time. we shouldn't be wasting a roster spot for an extra kicker and keeping an old kicker who can only offer us 85% of the distance other kickers can offer.

it is what it is...

When has a 51 yard fg ever been cake? The NFL average for 50+ is just a little bit over 50%.

He missed one out of two 50 yard field goals, by half a yard, on one of the worst fields, so we should cut him?

Under that logic coaches should just fire every kicker in the entire league
