3-4 Defense

No I do not want to change to a 3-4 defense.

What I want to ask is do you all think that us playing three 3-4 defenses during preseason put us at a disadvantage when we start the season?

Most of the teams that we play are lined up in a 4-3 but most of the blitzes and rushes we have been seeing is through a 3-4 this preseason. I know that our offense has struggled a whole lot this preseason but will the outcome be different against a 4-3?

Will we be able to adapt to a four man front?

Are we better suited to play 4-3s?

Do you all think that this event matters?

I just thought it was odd to see three 3-4 teams in the preseason however see mainly 4-3s during.

I thought this topic would break up the monotonous Armani. Jarret, Moore, Clausen, Hardy beast topics...Thoughts?

it was some well needed practice against the 3-4s. typically we don't do as well against them as we do 4-3s, imo. maybe that had more to do with jake. i don't know.

i do think it was interesting that we played against 3 of the top 10 defenses from last year and the 10th best against the run (titans). that might account for some of our offensive problems we've seen.

Playing 3-4 defenses in preseason is a HUGE plus...not disadvantage.

Out OLine practices agaisnt a 4-3 every day in practice. Getting reps against great 3-4 defenses is the only way to work on the different blocking techniques that are needed.
