Seahawks are trying to trade TJ Houshmanzadeh

John Fox and Marty Hurney have one last chance to redeem themselves. They passed on Anquan Boldin and Mardy Gilyard in favor of Armanti Edwards. They passed on Golden Tate in favor of Jimmy Clausen.

If they don't try to trade for Houshmanzadeh or go after him AGGRESSIVELY if he gets cut, then that should be a clear sign that they're not trying to be competitive this season.

this golden tate?

http://www.nfl.com/players/goldentate/profile?id=TAT245022 with an amazing 90 yards through 4 games?

Tate has increased his numbers tonight from the 90 in 3 games. Not sure why, but he just hasn't played much before tonight!

As for Housh, as much as Branch has been injured in the past, yes, you would have to say he was Seattle's #1.

I'm thinking he's gone before the weekend!

i would LOVE to see him in a panthers jersey across from smith.

re: vjax...y'all do realize that he's not just wanting a ton of money from whatever team picks him up but he's also looking at missing the first few weeks because of a little suspension?

long term he would be fine. this year, i'd settle for housh and consider him a vast upgrade over anything we have had for years across from smith.

Moose is better than Housh in my opinion and can be had for a fraction of the price for one year. And he knows the offense. If they were going to grab an old busted WR for a one year fill in, I imagine it would be him.

It was painful last year watching the Panthers repeatedly throw deep to Moose when clearly he was no longer able to execute the play called successfully.

Going after Clausen over Tate was the right choice imo.

agreed. clausen has the makings of a stud QB.

a stud QB can make mediocre WRs look great. you take an average QB and give him a stud WR and you have what the panthers have had for years with jake and smith (which is just not enough).
