QB possibility in the 2nd round?

John Fox doesn't draft QB's, you should know this by now.

that's just one of many 'John Fox doesn't's.

...just sayin.

As someone mentioned, Mark Sanchez is coming out. I think he'd be a pretty big improvement over Matt Moore and McGown.

I'm starting to wonder, frankly, if Buckner and Jenkins have been telling the truth about Fox.

If I recall, and I'm paraphrasing for both, that Fox had his 'favorites' and those that challenged his Defensive approach, gone. I remember Buckner talking about Peppers unhappiness as well on some interviews, I think on WFNZ...everyone dismissed it then.

I have to wonder, why Peppers seems to want out so badly.

He was the team captain this year.

The Panthers are more than willing to over pay him.

Appears to be better loved by his teammates than the fans, and yet, at the games Julius is treated like a God by the fans.

Something, is just not adding up here.

To be honest, I believe that Peppers, while a phenomal athelete, gets handled one to often one on one. I do not believe we could get a #1 for him....30 years old, huge salary cap, odds are, he'll be here at least one more year.

Because he wants to win a ring.

thanks RP

im puzzled by Pep as well. i think sometimes maybe he doesnt want out of here that bad. he is just keeping his options open and saying what his agent tells him to. but other times im certain he wants to get the hell out of here.

he is just such an odd dude. he doesnt seem like a 'big city guy" like many other Charlotte players have claimed as a reason for wanting to leave the city.

he also isnt the most articulate guy either. so i try to not read into what he says too much, but i cant hep but doing it some

Yea there is definitely something true to what those ex-players were talking about.

I don't think many people wanted to believe them, so they just dissed them, but now it is more than obvious something is up.

Fox's time could be limited, I wonder if they players will always be so tight lipped.

Especially after what just happened.

Richardson is the one who really has the power to tell fox to stop the soft zone bullshit. The fans can't do poo, beat writers can't do poo, espn losers won't do poo, the players won't do anything, Turd is his bitch, he won't do poo. I would imagine after years of seeing this Jerry will put his word in, I don't think he'll fire him but he'll tell him start adapting to the talent we have not what we had in 03.

    • Really?  Back to this again? How many times have I said that I’d prefer to trade back from #1? Too many to count, but as I’ve pointed out, that’s going to be much easier said than done, as once we signal we want to trade back, teams will know we don’t want any of the QBs and they’d target the 2nd pick in a trade instead. All of my “T-Mac at #1” talk has been discussed under two circumstances… the first being that no QB or DE pop before the draft, and that we can’t trade back. But again, I know you don’t like to actually read that stuff when I say it, as I’ve said it numerous times.
    • Thanks for posting this. While this was far from a great performance, this critique shows what some of us noticed last week. Bryce played "a little better". There is some talent there. But, as you pointed out we really don't have a great pass blocking line for dropping back each down when we are behind. BY has got some bad habits and physical limitations. At times his teammates let him down. The play calling isn't always the best. I hope he can learn from last week and show us some improvement in the Saints game.
    • Oh, and yes, I’d take a WR first in this upcoming draft, but again, that’s not in a vacuum I wouldn’t have taken him over the QBs this past year or likely the ones next year either. It’s all relative to who is available in a specific draft, and I don’t think any of the QB’s are worth the risk at #1 this year. Also the fact that you’ve said you would take T-Mac #2 but scoff at him going #1 is just in itself, super weird.  How you can justify a player at #2 but not #1 solely because of their position and with complete disregard to the other players available, is absolutely crazy town talk
