Pizza Dough

I usually buy the cheap, canned wheat dough at Lowe's Foods. It's okay -- nothing spectacular.

Another thing to consider is stopping by a local pizza joint and asking if they'd sell you some fresh dough. I've heard of people doing that, but never tried it myself.

I need to start making my own, though.

I enjoy cooking, but I can't see any scenario in which making my own pizza dough would be worth the effort to me.

i just make a shiat load of it, break it into individual balls, and throw it in the freezer.

Not sure if you have a Whole Foods around you but they great fresh dough.

You could always just use a little elbow grease if you have the time. I make a lot of fresh pasta and it's always worth the time and effort. If you've got kids, it's fun. I still have tons of memories of making bread and kneading dough with my dad.

Yep, we've used the wheat dough from Trader Joe's. It was pretty good.

Does anyone know where I can find some dough? I want to make pizza on the grill tomorrow night. Whole wheat preferred.

Let us know how it turns out. Been meaning to grill some pizza for a while. Homemade pizza is quite popular with the family lately but we use a Pampered Chef stone in the oven. I remember GTG posting a thread a while back on grilled pizzas but can't find it......

For pizza on the grill, Pillsbury pizza dough in the can works really well. And it's rectangular.

I haven't grilled pizza in a while.....
