Most important 4th preseason game in memory....

i don't think that the defense needs to have it's starters in. they've proven that they have it all together, though it might keep the fire going for them to get some time on the field.

the offensive starters (other than williams) hasn't shown that they are clicking at all. as much as we know what to expect from the defense, we don't know anything about the offense. keep them in for at least a quarter, but....if moore isn't producing with the starters then put clausen in there and see what he can do.

i'm on the moore bandwagon and have been since early '07 but i'm not blind enough to realize that clausen may be better than moore in the long term and short term. sure, moore has this team now, but if he can't get us TDs/wins and clausen can i'm sure the team will fall right in line.

This is a huge game for Hunter Cantwell and Tony Pike.

The second half will be the Cantwell Pike show. They will be going series to series literally for a spot on the team. I would be very surprised if Pike makes anything but the PS, but I will call a spade a spade if he steps up tonight and performs.

One of the things you don't see when QBs are in is how well they know the offense. For instance, Cantwell had to replace Pike for the 2 minute drill a few games ago. So the evaluation will be some of what we see and a lot of what we don't see re: mastery of the playbook.

I agree.I know Moore is the starter but I would at least like to see Clausen get a look behind the 1st team Oline.

Oh lawd! Don't start that debate again!

Thats what happens when multiple trolls troll for their fav. college QB, brainwashing others to hopefully get some support behind him, and its only the 4th PRE-SEASON game

Maybe we should start Clausen so we can witness first hand a ROOKIE starting at QB first hand. Picks and sacks. He doesnt have the plays down and cohesion with his C, which did cause some of those penalties and they talking about starting with the first team

Ok

Fox is praying deep down that his starters score an offensive touchdown so he can declare mission accomplished and pull them out. Otherwise, I expect them in there longer than most other teams.

i agree because it's important for our starters to score a touchdown especially against 2nd and 3rd team defenses. we need that boost of confidence to begin the season.

Might as well play the starters the whole game.

4th game is suppose to be for the scrubs? To figure out which one stay among a young team? Screw them, cut them all! The starters need the practice in front of us fans!

If the 4th game is for the scurbs, Fox will sure have his pick at who to play WR throughout the game. DJ could be playing from start to finish, hope he has some big plays!

For the life of me I can't remember a more interesting or important 4th preseason game for the Panthers. Typically the cuts are already decided before the game, but I don't think so this year. Espescially at WR, I think a great performance tonight could take an individual off the cut list and back on the keep list.

If the WR's are dogging it tonight like last week, they all should be cut. It could not be more clear that they should be showing their best out there.

Boffo, Super Excitement, Best Screen Play Ever! This is NOT whether Smith or Stewart play tonight...this is who wants to be a Panther and who want's to make Panthers post seasonal bound!

Your point is excellent and I hope that everyone understands that yute has got to show some meaning tonight. Otherwise, I'll picket BOA for a return of Moose and Hoover...I mean the stadium sounds lifeless without a single ooooooo to echoe in the place!
