David Gettis..

He's big, fast and physical and looks like he might turn out to be a great receiver in time. We need to keep this guy around. If he gets cut and Jarrett stays on the roster I'll sh*t a chicken. He's probably every bit as good as Jarrett right now and has much more upside.

I see the potential of Brandon Marshall ability coupled with a good head on his shoulders. God I hope we don't lose him one way or the other. Im not convinced other teams are chomping at the bit watching our waiver wire for WR's. But the possibility is enough to make me cringe. Probably won't be that guy for a couple years but Neither will Armanti. I just can't shake the optimism that Armanti Gettis and LaFell would all reach their prime at the same time.

Gannt has not been Gettis fan from day one but thinks Edwards can eventually be the 2ndcoming.

I'm probably the number 1# Gettis fan on the Huddle but even I admit he isn't ready for the number 2 spot yet. A lot of very physically talented recievers eventually amount to nothing in the leauge. Then again a good amount become solid staples in the NFL.

Still seems like a smart guy. I'll be rooting for him.

I like his size and speed but look at his resume. He barely had the ball thrown to him in college.Give this guy a year to develope. With the exception of Smith and LaFell our wrs put togather did not catch over 300 yards combined last year.Go figure we need a legit number 2.

I agree about the potential of Armanti, Gettis and LaFell. I think these three will shape the future of our WR corps for many years. Gettis reminds me of another late round WR success story - Marques colston. I hope the Panthers are not foolsih enough to cut this guy b/c he won't last very long on the PS.

I see Lafell at the #2, with Gettis rotating in. I see Martin and Edwards rotating on 3 WR sets. I see Jarrett getting cut, but I would not be surprised if it happens after a few weeks of the season.

I can't see cuitting Jarrett getting cut. It would probably cost the team more to release him in the last year of his rookie contract and he's the 2nd most experience WR on the squad. He's probably a near lock for the #2 WR spot since neither LaFell or Gettis are ready yet and Wallace Wright is on IR. Moore is on the bubble IMO. He's a good player but his upside and value on ST is limited.
