Rock Bottom is probably the only place in downtown Charlotte I'll have a beer at.

Course I haven't been out drinking in years. That might have actually been the last place I had an alcoholic beverage in public.

I always thought it was very underrated.

It opened in late 1997 - my old boyfriend was a server there and is now the regional manager for Gordon Biersch.

The RB in Chicago is a lot better than the one here for some reason. Food quality seemed 10x better up there. But all Chicago restaurants pwn, so it's not fair.

No, just comparing the two RB's. The one in Chicago doesn't even feel like it's the same franchise.

Best thing Charlotte has going for it. In Chicago its probably one of hundreds of great pubs.

I love traveling to Chicago. I'm fortunate to be up there a ton with the job. Got reservations at Gibson's Steakhouse in two weeks. Followed by a night at Harry Carey's.

You literally can't go wrong in that town.
