Herm Edwards to be fired today

Herm is a player's coach. He was a great DB for Philly, learned from Monte Kiffin under Tony Dungy, had good success with the Jets taking them to the playoffs a few times and has only sucked in KC. Then again, KC had little talent and it was widely recognized as a rebuilding situation. That they felt Herm could do it with a bunch of young guys is actually a testament to his skills. He is a good communicator and can break it down for players. Neither of which Trgo seems to be able to do.

There may be someone better but Herm is surely capable of doing the job if he wants it.

herm would be way better then trgovac. like a few posters have said he's a former db and db coach, plus he helped form one of the better defenses of the last decade in tampa.

But he's not getting fired today, Scott spolia (spelling) is looking at keeping edwards as coach for one more year.

Friend of mine today suggested they should also try to get Tony Gonzalez next season.

Don't know if that's an answer, but I do want to see an all around TE next season.

I dont think our Problems start on the Offense this year for once.

I think Lucas is gone ether way. He has a high cap number.

yea he's top 12 in the league as far as cap hit, I could see us either cutting him or restructuring the contract depending on which saves us the most. probably more along the lines of being restructured with the fox works.

    • been living in town since March of last year after spending 15+ years out on a farm in the middle of nowhere.  Snow was beautiful out there, but always meant a lot of work dealing with the long driveway and long dirt road out and onto paved roads that were the last in the county to get plowed. On normal days it always took 20 minutes to get anywhere. when it snowed...yeah. forget about it for a couple days. still had to go to work, so i'd have to drive on all these narrow and windy snow covered backroads after dealing with my driveway and putting up with the nasty red mud slush on the dirt road. if there was an emergency or some kind of urgent issue that required you having someone drive in or going out, it was just a major stressor.  anyways, i'm just looking forward to snow in the new house in town, where my driveway is really short and the roads are plowed. i want snow that requires no work or stress on me. most people probably love the idea of being snowed in out in the country. been there. done that. i'm looking forward to snow coming in town and being able to get out and about if i need. hopefully we have some this year.
    • I don't think it will be a complete stomping at all. That's not really the 2024 KC team. They have only scored 30 points once this season(shootout versus TB) and their biggest margin of victory has been 13(vs. the Saints). I guess they clearly show better versus the NFC South but not THAT good. Not by their recent years standard.
