Why would we have to trade Pep?

If Peppers' heart is not in it then it would just be a bad thing to franchise him...he's played sports his entire career in NC....who could blame him for wanting to 'branch out' and explore other options.....if he wants to test the market then shake his hand and let him go; yes that would be a shock to our defense but the Panthers could acquire at least three free agents for Peps salary.

That deal was on the table, its not now, both Hurney and Pepper's agent (I think his name is Carey) have said so. Pep says he wants to win a Super Bowl. He must not think it will happen with the Panthers and I'm afraid that knocks the Texans off his list of teams he would play for. He is looking for a winner. When the highest paid player on the team is looking to leave so he can win a Super Bowl that looks like a good sign that something is wrong and changes are needed.
