I'm convinced, this team is trying to prove a point by being cheap and no money will be spent. Unless a miracle falls in our lap, don't look for anything to happen.

I just feel sorry for Steve Smith. His days are numbered and he doesn't deserve to be a part of this project.

it would have to be some kind of return specialist or karl hankton type to fill the role that wallace wright was supposed to fill.

anyone thinking that we are going to find some legit receiver who gets cut by another team is in need of some serious anti-psychotic meds. if they are really worth keeping, they wouldn't be hitting the market at this point.

now a returner or a STer might fall though the cracks at this point but i wouldn't count on it. when the next big wave of cuts come, it might be a different story. still i wouldn't count on finding anyone who would serve as a solid #2 WR or even someone all that much better than what we have already.

cheap has nothing to do with it right now. plus, we'd have to cut someone else off the roster, though that shouldn't be a problem.

If we do pickup someone else, it will most likely be someone you've never heard of that's brought is as much for their ability to contribute on special teams as anything.

I'd almost say that this gives Charly Martin a better window. Dude has made some tackles on special teams in a cast, and before the broken finger he was having a good camp. Plus, isn't he pretty big?

You know how they say they rest the starters on the last game of presesason? Is there really any wr in our roster not named steve smith that will sit the game after the 1st drive? I can't see a reason why they would...
