NYG were on a huge down hill slide when we played them, and I said for the most part, not all.

Well if you mean coming off beating the Cowboys, losing in a shootout to Phila, and thumping the Redskins 45-12 as a downhill slide then you are right. The only team that had mailed it in were the Saints because they had nothing to gain.

Their last 7 games of the season they finished 3-4, getting beat by the Vikings 44-7 and the Panthers 41-9 in the last two...They beat the highly ranked and coveted Redskins 45-12, and so did Ragsdale High School.

They also allowed 45 points by the eagles...that Defense had cashed it in!

We started the Giants downhill slide. They had just come off of a 45-12 victory over the Redskins.

The only win in Matts career that came against a team resting its starters was the last one over New Orleans.

Ummm, we played them in week 16, kinda hard to start a downhill slide when you play them next to last game isn't it?

lol that list is awful.

Kolb and Moore should be about even(mid 20's. ) Brees should be #1. Rodgers should be ahead of Favre, Brady, and Big Ben. Matt Schaub should be ahead of Ryan/Flacco/Eli/Palmer..

just lol.

agree with moore&kolb but you can't put rodgers ahead of brady(3 rings) or ben(2 rings)

Giants were on a downhill slide, long, long before they hit our game. They had already given up 40+ pts in two other games, so the beatdown we gave them, was just another day at the office. They had the third worst defense, by the time they played us. There are other things going on in the NFL besides what happens in Charlotte. Giants currently have the worst defense in the league right now.

The Giants had just come off divisional wins against Dallas and Washington, they lost in a shootout to Phila and they were on a downhill slide? Come on, you can say the defense was not playing well but up until they played the Panthers their offense was averaging 35 ppg. and the defense was giving up 24 ppg. You can't downplay what Moore did against them and try and say they had mailed in the season.

Yeah but until our game against them they were sitting at 3-2 in the last 5 with a great shot at the playoffs with a win against a Panthers team that had nothing to play for. The D had not cashed it in especially with all of the "greats" there to see the old stadium closed down.

I don't think anyone is downplaying anything, it is what it is! Over the last 8 games of the season the D gave an average of 30.5 points per game and the team as a whole were 3-5! As for their Offense, it was averaging 25.5 per game during the same time span.

Matt is 6-2 as a starter, and I hope he carries that through to the regular season this year! I'm only point this out to help people understand why he is ranked so low here...he is even lower ranked by the fans!
