John Clayton (ESPN) ranks the QBs

I guess I am trying to figure out what Clayton is basing his list on, is it last year, or preseason this year? Last year Matt lead us to a 4-1 record, 103 passer rating, 8 touchdowns, and 1 interception. Yes he hasn't looked all that good this preseason, but Jake has been lighting it up this preseason and he is behind Moore. This is a complete joke and I have lost the little respect I had for John Clayton.

Yeah, i also like how he made it sound like Jake was in danger of being cut in Cleveland.

And again, it all branches off of how little these guys know about mid-small market teams. Even if none of us knew who Jake was, I'd say he is looking like a Top 15 guy so far into the preseason... I know it's the preseason, but he deserved more than that just from what I've seen of him so far this year.

While I support Matt and hope he does well, keep in mind that his regular season wins have, for the most part, been against teams that had cashed it in for the year, either gave up due to being out of the playoffs or they were resting their starters. As much as I hate to say it, I think we will see why Fox kept Jake in so long last year.

Neither Minnesota nor New York cashed it in, or rested their starters. New York was still vying for a playoff spot, and Minnesota was still trying for the best record.

And by "for the most part," you actually mean one, right?

15. Jay Cutler, Chicago Bears

Analysis: Cutler was an elite quarterback in 2008 when he played for the Broncos, but 26 interceptions for Chicago in 2009 moved him out of my top group. With Mike Martz calling the plays, Cutler should regain his 4,000-yard form and re-emerge as the elite quarterback the Bears thought they acquired in a trade with Denver.

Chance of being elite: 95 percent

Wow… Yep. This list is officially a joke.
