Smith not too impressed with Panthers’ receivers

2001-2004

missing 2005, back in 2006

out 2007 and 08

back last year under Rodgers

something like that

Anywho, here is a small break down for you over the year...its pretty even actually

Most consecutive 12+ win seasons

7 seasons: Indianapolis Colts (current)

4 seasons: Dallas Cowboys (1992-95)

3 seasons: Miami Dolphins (1983-85) Philadelphia Eagles (2002-04)

2 seasons: New England Patriots(2003-04, 2006-07), Chicago Bears (1985-1986), Pittsburgh Steelers (1978-79), Green Bay Packers (1996-97, 2001-02)

what does that have to do with this conversation? What teams did in the 80's, 90's, etc.

Green Bay was your example, and they haven't even been consistant in recent years. Carolina has matched there success the past 5 seasons. You have to go back 6-8 years to find a span for them being such....and then you are talking about completely different teams

When an NFC team gets consistant then I will give them the preseason respect and pencil them in. The NFC is too unstable and the teams prove that year in and year out. I think the Panthers and Falcons have just as good of odds as the Saints.

I'm sure Smitty's comment is an attempt to motivate the other WR's on the roster. He gets motivated by others putting him down, so he's using the same tactic with these guys.

I'm glad we have a superstar who cares enough to play the "bad cop" while Fox and others play the "good cop". Wouldn't suprise me if Fox put him up to it.

How did this turn into a consistancy battle? The disagreement started when we were discussing our chances of winning the Super Bowl.

Do we have just as good of a chance as anyone else to make it to the playoffs.....sure, if you are blinded by stats/numbers/any given Sunday.

Just take a look at Vegas odds if you want a picture of what I am trying to say.

IMO, as of today, I would say about 12 or so teams have a better shot of winning the Super Bowl as we do. You may say it's equal, and that is what you want your players to believe, but alas....it is not.
