Thursday's "Game" on TV?

To throw a monkey wrench into the whole situation, if you have TWC, you might not have ABC or ESPN on Thursday...

Soooooo, I guess if they don't get a deal worked out, we're extra screwed...

From what I heard on the fan yesterday a deal has been struck and TWC will continue to carry ABC and ESPN. If I had lost ESPN I would have dropped TWC that day.

They always get the deal done. Just try and scare people every year with this crap. But I guess with with a price hike, that will translate to a price hike for the consumer and another dropped channel from the line up. I bet in won't be a shopping channel...

Yeah there is no way TWC drops ESPN. They would instantly lose 1/4 of their customers. ESPN holds all the cards in this one.

I have to say, I switched to Direct TV when I first started hearing about this, just in case, and I'm SOOOOOO glad I did!!! I can honestly say that I haven't watched HD tv until I got Satellite...it is outstanding, will never go back to cable!!!!

way more than 1/4...more than 1/4 of their customers are guys, or families with husbands who would NOT tolerate not having ESPN in their household.

I live by myself and I would drop them as well, even though I have heard that DirecTV sucks and so does their customer service and you lose signal everytime there is a storm.

However, I interviewed with TWC a couple times in the past 4 months and I have heard that has all been just a rumor. They were fighting back and forth with providers but they know how bad it would be for them to lose ESPN, no matter how much of a market share they have in that industry. They would lose ALOT of customers. Even their own employees would drop them and they get cable foh freeee

I have had Direct TV for a few months now and, for me, this isn't true at all...customer service has been great and I have never lost signal not even when I thought a tornado touched down in my back yard...power went out, that was the only thing to stop my Direct TV, so far! Add that to the NFL network and MLB network!!! I LOVE IT!
