I mean, I agree that the D has looked better than expected and I hope that the performance carries over, but you can't blame any writer for refusing to put stock in the preseason. Chris Johnson had 10 yards on 8 carries - does that mean he's going to average fewer than 1 yard per carry in the regular season? Bottom line is our team is "unproven" until the season starts and it can be proven otherwise.

No, but you can blame him for assuming that the Panthers defense is gonna suck just because Peppers is gone. There hasn't been one sred of evidence to back up that notion, so far.

What I got from this "article" is that this guy knows absolutely nothing about the Panthers, aside from the well known players who are not here anymore.

I don't think the scamp mentioned any of this. He just looked at who was gone and what was acquired.

I know its the pre season but its still football...you still have to block someone and you still have to tackle....while i dont think the panthers will have the best defense in the league they should be very solid.
