Vengeance game for giants = loss for us, I mean, I would believe this if our offense could score.

Part of the reason for the weak 16 beat down was, that the giants had all sorts of injuries on their defensive line. They got all of those guys back now, its going to be a tougher game than you all think.

The question you have to ask yourself. Would you trade Eli Manning for Phillip Rivers? Oh and you'd also get several draft picks: Those draft picks were turned into kicker Nate Kaeding in 2004 and linebacker Shawne Merriman in 2005. They traded the fifth round pick to Tampa Bay for Offensive Tackle Roman Oben. Oben was a key part of the Chargers for four seasons.

Now you'd have to be an idiot not to trade Manning and receive today's Rivers straight up, much less those other 3 players as well.

Or you could go with Mannning personally led the Giants to a Super Bowl win. Your choice.

Same can be said for Eli. Giants won due to defense and running game more than anything.

Mark Rypien, Doug Williams, and Joe Theisman have Superbowl rings. Jake Delhomme missed a superbowl ring by the slimmest of margins (and played better in his superbowl performance than Eli did).

Having a Superbowl ring does not mean by any stretch of the imagination that Manning is a better QB than Rivers. Unless you think Mark Rypien was better than Dan Marino.

I'm worried about the giants being pissed off but it looks like they haven't recovered from that late season slide.

If we blow them out then giants fans will hate us forever. I remember the falcons beating us 71-0 but this will be so much worse.

Tarnishing the old stadium and the new stadium? You only get that chance once in 60 years. It'll be a grand ol' time. I'll have to write a ballad about it.

Actually the likelihood that you play a team out of your division during their last game at their old stadium and the first (real) game in their new stadium is probably very, very low.

We have to score points to win football games. Not just a couple FG's, but actual points.

The way our D is playing, a TD and a couple of FG's will give us enough points to win the game. I'm on the cautiosly optimistic train for the season, but when the Bucs won the SB over the Raiders, their D was ridiculous good that year and their O did just enough to win. I'm not saying, I'm just saying.
