My Musings, Volume 3...

Samuel L. Jackson

1. Our WR corps are trying to make us make some tough decisions... Gettis is trying to make his case, and Guy did alright while he was in there...

2. We are probably the deepest team in the league at TE...

3. JStew said "you know" a whopping 46 times during his halftime interview... If you don't believe me, go back and count... I suggest we change his nickname accordingly...

4. Matt Moore's beard looked almost identical to mine during his interview session... Thin and wiry, and patches of little to no growth...

5. Our defense is going to be scary good, and scary deep... except at LB (the deep part)...

6. LaFell may have made an awesome one handed catch, but he still had a bad drop... No worries though, he'll be alright...

7. Wallace Wright may have kicked Kenny Moore off the team with his play last night...

8. Again, Greg Hardy is the man...

9. Brian Witherspoon secured his spot on the final roster last night...

10. The same cannot be said for Nick Hayden, Corvey Irvin, or any reserve offensive linemen...

11. Goodson should be our returner for now, and work Armanti into spot duty... Guy would be, but I don't think he will make the cut with the logjam at WR... IF we let go of K. Moore, then Guy could be the 6th...

12. As I have said before, our offense will be alright once we get Stew, Smitty, and Otah back...

13. Eric Moore was still in on a lot of plays, and I think he has secured a spot on the final roster, especially with Taylor having surgery...

14. Marcus Hudson has probably secured his spot on the final roster as well...

15. That is about it from last night... Much of the same from the previous two games...

I really hope we hang on to Gettis. He is the only guy on our roster that has the potential to be a true #1wr other than Smitty. And I am positively salivating at the thought of Gettis and LaFell blocking down field for double trouble in the years to come.

You have to be joking about #2??

We may not be THE deepest team in the league at TE but you could certainly argue it. King is a hell of a blocker and a reliable receiver. Rosario is big time downfield and Barnidge looks like he could be elite. Any of the three could start for us and excel. That's some serious depth.

    • First of all Sooners fan? Mods? Second if you think someone needs a specific reason to hate Texas you don’t watch real college football.
    • 100% even if rest of team is really talented if they march young out to be qb and he plays like he has for 90% of his starts the panthers have already lost doesnt even matter how good the rest of the team is or isnt and also makes it hard to even tell how good they are.  They need true competition for young this offseason.
    • It will be awesome to have an improved stadium to lose in I guess....   https://www.yahoo.com/news/panthers-file-rezoning-bank-america-111500840.html     The Carolina Panthers have taken another necessary step toward renovating their home of the present and future. Panthers Stadium, LLC, filed its rezoning site plan with the city of Charlotte on Monday, initiating an important — if mostly technical — step toward renovating Bank of America Stadium. The filings state that the rezoning relates “primarily to technical aspects associated with improvements to Bank of America Stadium,” and that the rezoning is required because “the current stadium zoning is out of date” for the team’s stadium renovation plans.   The planned stadium updates include new seats installed throughout the upper and lower bowls; stadium safety and security enhancements; a reimagined South Lawn Pavilion; upgraded restrooms; exterior enhancements (including LED video boards) and more. Planning for the stadium renovation project will continue through 2025, with construction starting in 2026 and the renovation’s conclusion in 2029, The Observer previously reported.
