Trent Guy and Mike Goodson

It's not BS -- we are simply stating the facts. Guy had trouble with a couple of returns and Goodson took one back for a touchdown. Guy has about six or seven receivers ahead of him and just reinjured his hammy, so even though many of us see his potential, we also know he's a longshot to make the roster.

No one's hating on Guy here.

Ok he misjudged two but how many did he have ? I'll give him fault on one and that's the one where he called fair catch and let it go . But I guarantee the one where he had to back peddle to try and get it was because of where the punt coach told him to line up and like I said unless you've played the position you don't know what It's really like , so that bs that somebody keeps talking in here , he needs to keep to himself .

Is that what you told your coach when you misjudged your punts? Sounds like you made excuses for your own failures as a player.

For the record I started four years at corner and returned punts for my high school. I had scholarship offers that were dropped after I stabbed in the stomach breaking up a fight in Charlotte half way through my senior year. You shouldn't make assumptions concerning whether or not someone has played football. You aren't the only person who has returned punts that isn't a professional football player.

so getting stabbed in your stomach made you lose your ability to run continue to play football?? they strip a scholarship for that? its not like you could never play again....i got shot in the leg when i was 20, and still played semi pro baseball until i was 28, although i had no scholarships...

I was stabbed with a 6inch knife, it cut my appendix in two, cut open the side of my stomach, punctured my kidneys and did damage to my spine causing permanent nerve damage. I was unable to work out for 10months and still have nerve problems that when active prevent me from walking with a normal gait.

And Trent got shot in the back had the bullet removed from his stomach and still manage to make it to a team . And I'm not making excuses for me , because I'm not talking about me . Ive just been on the other end of a lot of punts and I know what he has to deal with , on top of first game jitters .

So I guess you're in favor of Armanti returning as well? He's fast like Guy, and the mistakes he made are probably due to the fact he's never returned punts. Either that or the punt coach told him to line up incorrectly, as well.

I know they do revoke scholorships for injuries...I had one to Duke for baseball and blew my knee out wrestling...they revoked my scholorship as soon as they caught wind of it!

that sucks........i hope it was over someone you were close with, and not just some average joe. i dont jump in unless i know the person in the fight, and know they are getting the poo kicked out of them, if they can hold their own, i see how far it can go. for that much bodily injury you received, are wishing you had taken a different plan of action, or would you have done it all over again?

It happened in a fast food parking lot on sugar creek right off of the I85 exit ramp. My cousin's boyfriend was beating the crap out of her, I jumped in the middle. So yes I would probably do it again.

For your answer Jago. Yes, I almost died, the toxins released into my system when my appendix was cut almost caused liver failure and I had to take all sorts of treatments to clean out my stomach from the toxins that leached in from the cut. They had to airlift me from the parking lot.
