@Floppin If you didn't understand then go back and read your latter comment come back and read mine again then take your advice under uncle Sam . And Beaux you obviously didn't read all the comments .

It wasn't my reading comprehension that was the problem, it was your English language comprehension that was.

Don't count out Trent Guy yet. I think they are gonna give him another look and if he is solid he may make the team. At the least they'll stash him on the PS I suspect.

I have to pull for Trent Guy to make good, the dude is a good return man.

My guess is Guy will get caught in the numbers crunch and wind up on the practice squad. Here's wishing his luck.

I apologize @Beaux I should have said hater @Rayzor saying if it wasn't for the fact he's a home town boy he wouldn't be getting looks and he's just not that good . But you made that judgement from one game . Oh by the way the coach and Steve don't seem to agree with you , go back and read some of the stuff they said on Trent Guy . Oh did you guys notice that the Kick return by Goodson was against the 2nd and 3rd string guys . Not the first string , like the 37 yard kick return and the 20 yard punt return and 8 yard catch that Trent had . And as far as size goes "Steve Smith" Nuff said .

i don't hate. i haven't seen anything that would put him above what we have out here. imo, he doesn't bring as much to the table as far as what he can do right now and doesn't have the potential that others have. also, his hammy problems don't give me a lot encouragement, either. flat out i'm just not sold and i don't think i'm going to get any kind of objective opinion from you.

truth is, you are every bit the homer... much moreso than me being a hater.

if you hadn't gone to his school, you wouldn't care and you sure wouldn't be on some random message board riding his jock.

I didn't go to his school I'm just and a fan and he has looked better than anyone else they've put back there , and your home town boy remark sounded like hate to me Moore is a home town boy too , so what you saying ? I'm just trippin off everyone on Goodsons jock he was in against the 2 and 3rd string , oh and now he supposed to get the job . And if you remember I said in my first comment not taking anything away from Goodson he's a good player but one return don't make him the man for the job .

two ok punt returns and an ok reception don't make him the man for the job either.

and how does me calling him a home town boy sound like hate? never mind. i don't care.

keep on running your mouth about someone who was cut from the raiders right after they got him as a UDFA and who will be on the practice squad this year. it's been kind of mildly entertaining but now it's just boring and predictable.

For someone that likes to call someone else's football knowledge into question you sure don't have a problem showing your own ineptitude. Special teams do not have the same turnover that both offense and defense do during preseason games. There is no such thing as 1st, 2nd and 3rd string special teams. Sure, there may be minor substitutions, primarily because of glaring screw ups but in general the team stays the same minus the subs to the return man as they try to evaluate him. Special teams rely on a continuity and as such there isn't near the same level of substitution for all positions on a basis of evaluation as there is for other aspects of the game. So to say that Goodson's return was against 2nd and 3rd stringers is completely false and makes you seem even more dumb.

@Floppin that really goes to show you don't know what the hell you are talking about . I through talking to you guys just watch and learn . Oh and as far as that Raider thing goes , they picked up to many receivers he was one of the last picked that's why he was let go , had nothing to do with his skill , but watch he'll shut yall up .

I was skimming through the first half of the game when I got home today and noticed that Guy misjudged two punts in the first half pretty badly. On one, instead of fair catching the ball he let it bounce about 10 or 15 yards behind him. It ended up landing around the goalline.

I'm not hating on him by any means -- he needs time to get used to NFL speed. I'm just saying he's got a little ways to go, and that Goodson is the better option.

Ok he misjudged two but how many did he have ? I'll give him fault on one and that's the one where he called fair catch and let it go . But I guarantee the one where he had to back peddle to try and get it was because of where the punt coach told him to line up and like I said unless you've played the position you don't know what It's really like , so that bs that somebody keeps talking in here , he needs to keep to himself .
