All aboard the Dan Connor express.....

Moving Beason to the WLB spot was not because we needed more talent at WLB, it was because Connor was coming into his own and giving the panthers the luxury of being able to put Beason there.

Ok don't get carried away there. While I agree Connor has so far in 3 preseason games fulfilled his hype and is playing very well Beason was moved because of the injury.

If Davis were healthy that would really be ideal and the defense would be that much more scary. Connor will have to work very hard for that move considered to be an upgrade over Davis. IMO. It's a very good thing it all is working out (because) I don't think Davis will be back.:(

I've been probably one of the bigger Dan Connor supporters on this site, and I wouldn't be surprised if/when Davis is healthy again he stays at MLB. He was a steal in the 3rd round.

I don't know if the FO will bring TD back honestly. I mean, with the draft and the Williams trade, who knows. I know it's only preseason but i haven't missed TD these last few games. Beason didn't look great the first game, but he has been right on for the last two. With all of the other FAs we will have, I would rather see them bring players back who are not injury prone. I love TD as much as I loved Dan Morgan....but football is a tough game.

He's not fast, but he's got a high football IQ and has a nose for the ball which makes up for his lack of speed.

When (if) Davis comes back, I'd like to see Conner get some work at SLB.

yeah I totally agree if TD comes back strong next year. Maybe with Hardy and Brown showing signs of progress (the whole d line really) they'll focus more of Norwood's work at the LB position instead of DE.

I hope TD returns, I'm sure a lot of you do he seems to be a fan favorite, but with the way our LBs are looking I have to admit we might not need him. If he can be resigned at a reasonable price I think Fox and JR will take the gamble on him based on his previous play and a clear medical evaluation.

But we would be at our best with Connor in the middle, and Beason and Davis on the wings. Not that I am slighting Anderson, he has played well.

I just think Beason at SLB is too much of a waste. I'm not going to pretend that I'm a defensive expert but Beason screwing around with a tight end all day makes me cringe.

With TD/Beason we have quite possible the best 4-3 LB corps in the NFL.

It's funny how this lovely sport of football works! A bunch of you guys have been eating crow when it comes to Uncle Meeks, and now it's time for me to eat my healthy dose of crow in regards to Connor. Dan has slimmed down and looks way more athletic than he ever has. Hats off to you Dan! I am now a believer/fan!

FYI - If he keeps playing like this I'm gonna have to find a way to get him on the field in Madden. Maybe I'll run a 3-4 with him Beason, TD, and Anderson. Hmmmm

Many of us knew this guy was a great pick out of Penn St a few years ago. Pure football player. Not the greatest speed or size, but a sure tackler and a nose for the football.

Moving Beason to the WLB spot was not because we needed more talent at WLB, it was because Connor was coming into his own and giving the panthers the luxury of being able to put Beason there.

Connor will have a breakout season this year, the Scotty Pippen of the linebacking core.

Cheers

He's broke?
