He's also has some return abilities too. I don't think he should be the top guy, but he's decent insurance.

A safe move considering we didn't bring in any new receivers and two of our current guys are only going into year two.

Yeah.  I get amused sometimes at how obsessed fans are over the 4th and 5th receivers.  All we need is someone who can fill in reliably if the others guys get hurt or on the rare occasion we run 4 receivers. And is a decent to good special teams player.  Doesn't have to be a superstar.  Moore can do that.  

He is basically Karl Hankton.

Except David Moore actually contributes on offense. I honestly don't think I ever saw Karl Hankton take a snap on offense, much less have a catch.

He’s currently our quickest receiver
