I don't understand when people complain about us signing bottom of the roster guys for depth. Whole team can't be probowlers and money needs to be allocated wisely

It's not the player, it's the skillset

the drops are factored by catchable targets. In that stat, the average NFL drop rate is 6.7.  However, if you are looking at PASS ATTEMPTS, the percentage of drops iin the NFL is 3.6%.

Here are the drops by team per pass attempt:

FUN FACT: The stadium with the highest drop rate is KC--the lowest drop rate is Minnesota.

Carolina Panthers Primary LogoCARWide Receiver#83

Panthers re-signed WR David Moore to a one-year contract.
Moore had a career season in 2024, managing a 32/351/3 receiving line after last being targeted more than 40 times in 2020. The veteran enters his age-30 season as Carolina’s No. 4 receiver behind Adam Thielen, Xavier Legette, and Jalen Coker. It’s possible that the Panthers will draft a receiver and give him even more roster spot competition. Moore has the special teams chops to hang on the back of a 53-man roster if needed, so this seems like a signing without any real downside for Carolina.
