What you can take away from Preseason games

Trends, trends are the only things you can take away from games.

Good Trends:

Defense, dear god does our Defense look nasty, they have looked good in every game and IMO I fully expect to see this continue.

RB's even some of our backups look good

Bad Trends:

Offense, has for the most part been very bad, some questionable protection from the o-line and questionable play by both the QB and WR's.

Special teams have been putrid, anyone not named Kasay or Baker has been questionable.

Food for thought

Offense is missing Smitty and Stewie and O-line is having a few kinks that I expect to workout.

BTW Goodson may have just won KR duty

other then that there's not a whole lot that can be taken away

Jason Baker kicked a 70-some yard punt tonight. Just thought I'd throw that out there as a minor plus.

In fact, Baker was killing it all together. A few of his punts only barely went into the end-zone for touchbacks, but otherwise he was on fire.

I think we will regret Keeping Moore and letting Trent Guy go. He def is our best PR not named Capt.

Kasay has missed an extra point and FG. I hate to say it, but with his misses last year, I think the guy could cost us games this season. I think his leg is done. It's hard to let go of a lifer, but damn, we may have to count on his leg this year.

I was talking about trends over the course of the preseason, one game by itself is meaningless, but a trend that has appeared time and again should be looked at.

Everyone who does well,they will do well in the season and if they are doing bad its just preseason and it doesn't count or matter and they will do well in the season also.

I take away from preseason games,the fact they mean absolutly nothing but the chance to evaluate new players.
