agreed. I would rather him make the open first down grab or get better positioning on that TD attempt than make a fairly lucky circus grab.

It is what it is.... once Smitty's back, he will get better as the season progresses, and in time will be a force to reckon with IMO.

I think he did well. The one he missed on the side line was out of reach. LaFell was not the only WR reaching for the high ball tonight. I was impressed with Gettis reach though. Man he can get up there.

Holy crap, he made one catch. Retire his jersey number. Build a LaFell statue outside of BoA stadium. Paint his face in the grass at midfield. Make all the players wear a #11 patch on their jerseys. 3 hour television special where we show "the catch" over and over.
