I'm actually....afraid of growing up...

Its funny how when you're like 8 and you can't wait to get grown, move out, be by yourself and whatever, and when you get one foot out of the door, its like ehhhhh. Most people my age (17) are worried about what they're going to do after high school or college but thats not really my problem. I know what I'm going to do. I can't plan every single detail, but for the most part, I think I'm ok. My problem, is that I don't want to fail. I...hate to think about..the what ifs..what if this happens what if that happens etc, and I end up nowhere. I set these big expectations for myself, and already I'm worried about failing. IDK, maybe its normal...I hope it is anyway.

thats all

It's okay to fear it. Just don't obsess over it.

You will fail, more than once, maybe even several times.

It won't kill you.

If you're smart, you'll learn from it and move on.

Depending on where you live...

Possibly in a mansion, depending on how you view this conversation. ;)

Besides most rich chicks demand prenups.

Pay off the lawyer to make an error (with her money) and be sure to bring that up in court when things go south.

The fear of failure is necessary for any self respecting individual. The bottom line is, you will not succeed at everything you do. The best trait you can gain from this fear is the ability to learn from your mistakes and failures.

But damn, 17? Your mind is in a completely different place than it will be in just 5 years. Once you get a little taste of the big boy world and you get that "I can do this!" feeling, things will click.
