Did anyone feel our offense sucks after watching GB?

The Colts are 4-20 in the preseason, since 2005. However, they have the best record since 1999 and have won 6 of 7 AFC South titles. They have won 12 or more games for 7 years, an NFL record. Playing in 3 conference championship games and 2 Super bowls.

The Colts suck in preseason games due to lack of depth, all of their cap space is tied up in starters. However, the new rule of having the official spot the ball and then go position himself behind the line, will slow down their offense and effect their hurry up game plan.

Weren't you big on Quinn when he came out? Not picking at you, just remember it that way.

I agree that Clausen's better, I think we have a potential star in the making.

No, I wasn't big on Quinn at all and I doubt I ever posted about him one way or the other, because I simply didn't care. I sure as hell never wanted the Panthers to sign him, that's for sure.

Repost but staring down your receivers is necessary for many throws. On mid to deep routs with multiple receivers yes you need to look off but on 3 step drops you are scripting an open man off a break and do not have time to look off if you wanted.

The point here is that neither Matt nor Jimmy forgot how to play quarterback overnight. The issue is protection, poor snapping, and generally poor line play IMHO. They have faced two of the best, if not the best, defenses in the NFL and only seen pressure. The pass protection has been terrible. Sacks are piling up, not interceptions (albeit there have been a handful of bad throws).

My supposition was that they're trying to hit receivers because they want to see them, not necessarily because they're the best option. We're seeing what works.

Sorry, I guess I got you confused with someone else I enjoy reading. I don't think it's a bad thing to have wanted Brady Quinn, I'm glad we have Clausen though.

Indy's corners are SOFT. have been for a while. Bob Sanders is the only bright spot in that secondary. Hayden is good but not great. Powers is up and coming but still average. and lacey is in the same boat as powers. then factor in Greg Jennings, Donald Driver, and Jermichael Finley. this is taking too long. GB offense>>>>>indy defense

Sorry if it was mentioned earlier in the thread, but did anyone else notice how the glorified "return man" for Indy, Brandon James, muffed a punt which was recovered by GB in the endzone for TD?

This is a guy who has made his name by returning kicks, and he fugged up worse than QB-turned-PR. Just some perspective. LOL
