Really preseason don't mean poo. Come back in late December and talk to me then. By then we will have their record on hand for the season then. Then you can talk about how you was right or wrong about the preseason.:P

Actually in some cases it does, but it's rare. When Denny Green took over the Vikings, they demolished all four teams they played in the preseason and it set the tone for a rebound season afterward. The Miami Dolphins went 6-0 in the 1972 preseason. The Panthers were preseason terrors there for a long time under Fox. Their 0-4 record last year bled into an 0-3 regular season start.

Most...MOST...coaches use it strictly as a chemistry lab. Some use it for other purposes.

In the Rams case, this experience Bradford is getting is invaluable, and I can see the OP's point about Clausen. I think anyone who has watched the first two preseason games knows that Moore is limited. Fox hates him. Starting Clausen would pretty much cut Moore off at the knees in that locker room, but....Fox did it to Weinke his first year.

Bradford can do it so can Clausen

START JIMMY!!!!!!

MM is the starting QB for this team......end of discussion. There are a lot of things that can be discussed during preseason concerning a team. But, for this team.........who should be starting at QB and what our record is for practice games should not inter into that discussion.

OK and why not? That’s like saying when Jake sucked last year replacing him should not be discussion!!! It is normal to discuss the worst part of your team during practice right? Well the worst part is a tie between our passing game and ST. Difference is, we may be able to fix the passing game…we may have the tool sitting on the bench but we will never know if he doesn’t at least get to play with the ones in a PRACTICE GAME THAT MEANS NOTHING RIGHT!

Oh yea and “Jake gives us our best chance to win”

The Rams drafted Mardy Gilyard... the Rams are 2-1

The Panthers drafter Armanti Edwards and Brandon LaFell... The Panthers are 0-2

Coincidence?

I THINK NOT!

You see, Mardy is the chosen one... This is further evidenced by Donnie Avery sustaining a season ending injury last night... It is divine intervention...

stop encouraging this maddness!!!

I don't know if Fox hates him.....I do know in 07 and 09 Matt Moore made Fox look like a dumbass. Fox's best options to win clearly weren't the best options. Fox was forced to start Moore each of those seasons after many believed both years Fox should have gone to the bench MUCH earlier......he should have. Moore proved it. Hell, a good coach would have given my grandma a shot based on what Vinny and Jake were doing those years.

End of Thread, not to mention the Pats werent really playing. They played a bland defense and they looked completely disinterested with the Rams. You saw a better performance from them when they played the Saints and Falcons. Bradford looks good though, certainly not mad we got Clausen, he'll be very good in time but Bradford is going to be very good also. One thing though, he doesnt have much touch on his passes, especially deep. Clausen is a better deep ball thrower.
