Adam Schefter: Panthers could release Delhomme

We won't release him, but competition is likely, as well as a restructuring.

I will be pissed if we pay him that much money to be so piss poor.

Sorry to say competition has never been a part of this franchise. Its hard to remember the last free agent or rookie brought in to challenge someone.

Just found this on the internet!!

Delhomme is showing some signs of slippage:

Of his six career games with three-plus interceptions, three came this season (against Tampa Bay, Oakland and Arizona).

He has not played well in the Panthers' two most recent playoff games. In 2005, he had three interceptions and a rating of 34.9 in a loss to Seattle in the NFC Championship Game.

Get it right fellas. Delhommes interceptions weren't the reason we lost. That was just Jake being Jake. We have spent enough money on defense that they should be able to overcome Delhomme giving the opponent the ball at our 10 yard line. If our defense can't even overcome our offenses continuous mistakes, then they aren't really professional level defensive athletes.

Thats numming........ Jake is the reason we lost the game.........take the glassess off. Fumble at our 10, pick in the end zone, pick in the red zone and three more to boot. He is the sole reason going into last portion of the 4th quarter our defense had been on the field 75% more than the offense. No defense can with stand that.

Then our defense is a bunch of pussies.
