their Defense is underrated. Rob Ryan is a very good DC, but i don't trust that Delhomme in those divisional games against the Steelers, Ravens, and Bengals Defenses. not to mention hes faces the Jets again

Jake is a leader. A fresh start was all he needed, just like Kurt Warner.

The Browns 2010 look very much like the Panthers 2003.

No reason to think Jake Delhomme is the 2003 Jake Delhomme.

They don't have an 03 caliber OL

They don't have a Steve Smith, Moose, Prohel caliber WR corps. Nothing even remotely close.

They don't have an 03 defense that features arguably the best DL in all of football.

Kurt Warner was one of the most accurate QBs of alltime prior to his slump. He also lead an offense to this day is unmatched in regards to what they did during that period of time in NFL history (3 yr span of the greatest show on turf).

I hope Jake does rebound but I think this is a tad overkill. Who is Jake going to be throwing to?

The Saints are prolly the best team in the NFL, and doesn't have one of the tougher opponents in the league. They could end up repeating, as much as we'd all hate it.

I'm interested to see how our defense does against their offense though.

the only thing I wonder about the Saints is last they year had an absurd amount of turnovers generated by the D.....and not just turnovers but ones that went for huge plays. I would think it would be nearly impossible for them to come close to matching that. Those were key in there Superbowl run....without those huge plays the Saints D really isn't that impressive.

just take away Sharpers production alone last year and insert more average S play and imo they would have been the 2008 Saints all over again.

And this is will be their second season under their DC, whom is a pretty damn good coach. I'd expect them to improve on defense from last year.

While their turnovers may or may not be as great, their defense should improve overall.

Once again, I hate admitting this, but I'm not going to pretend to ignore the obvious.
