my big thing on McDermott's because he was not only a secondary coach in philly (look how they swarm the ball) but also a linebackers coach one year, and he was also an assistant head coach in 2001 when they went 11-5. The fact that he's been able to get the most out of his personnel while being a position coach in different areas means he's done a pretty phenomenal job and if Jim Johnson ever accepted a head coaching job, they probably would not hesitate to promote him to DC.

McDermott i've actually been talking about as a replacement for weeks. But Trgovac won't fire himself. Fox has to do that, and if he's not, then who's the real problem here?

Saturday was about as bad a defensive gameplan as I've ever seen before. And the more time goes on, the more stubborn this guy gets.

Thats the problem. It will not matter who is the DC because Fox is happy with the defensive scheme like it is. Fox is the head coach and he sets the perameters that the DC has to work within.
