The artice in the link below is somewhat of a followup on the proposed 18 game NFL schedule that was discussed in a thread yesterday.

NFL owners are eager to increase the regular season from 16 to 18 games.

As we all to well know, exhibitions often don't sell out and some are blacked out,for this very reason.

The regular season games naturally make more money for the league and more money for the players because they don't make money for preseason games.

If 2 games are indeed added it will will shorten players careers and probably lengthen rosters.

There is no doubting that more players will be lost to injury,then NFL teams will have to have good backups on the roster to replace them.
