Fantasy player drafts Double Trouble 1 and 2

Saw this on a basketball message board...

Finally, there is nothing more boring than hearing people talk about their fantasy football league…but a guy in my league (12 teams) drafted two RBs with his first two picks…nothing odd about that really. But then it became clear, that both were from the same team…the Carolina Panthers. Is the strategy horrendous (my opinion) or somehow insanely brilliant? It has to be the former, if for no other reason than it allows for good jokes for years to come.

Could it be brilliant? I mean, at least one of them is probably going to have a great year, right?

It could end up being brilliant if one of them gets hurt because of how much we run the ball... It is dumb for the reason that he likely missed out on a better QB or WR option...

The only handcuff I took was LT to backup Shonn Greene, and I did that after all my other starters were in place...

I figure the Jets run as much as we do, and if Greene gets banged up, LT was a good insurance policy...

Only thing I think stupid about it is the bye week, both backs average 5+ yards per carry, both backs (last year) over 1100 yards and both back where pretty much even on the TD's...neither turn the ball over, etc etc

The way Moore is looking right now we will be running the ball more than ever! I say good pick ups...hope you got two more though

    • Canales was brought in to fix Bryce. That was how he sold himself. He failed.  the panthers need a new qb, someone to coach him, and someone to build a defensive staff.  Canales has failed at developing a new qb. His big draft project XL is trending towards bust. His entire nfl resume before the panthers was one season as offensive coordinator on a stacked Bucs team, and being on the offensive staff when a 31 year old Geno smith finally put it all together. And he didn’t even pick his offensive coordinator. Assuming evero is gone, who’s he got in that phone to call? What low lvl porn addict evangelical from the bucs is ready to be Peter principled? There is nothing in his coaching history or his current performance that indicates he’s the person to move this team forward. Every other team knew this last cycle (panthers were only interview) and nothing has happened to change that perception   all people like you have is “well you can’t do it again it’s too soon but <random interval of time> will be different.  just pull off the bandage. There’s no reason to let this guy draft “his guy” except people wanting an excuse not to fire him after 2025.
    • Both Reich and Canales were saddled with trying to build and establish a viable scoring offense around Bryce Young. The best the offense looked this season and last season was with Andy Dalton who is also terrible but still better than Bryce Young. Which should be all anyone needs to know but still somehow there are weirdos here salivating over a ceiling of maybe on a really good day the 25th best QB in the league. We've already canned one entire staff over our first overall pick. You can fire everyone again to satisfy your need for vengeance and quickly come to the realization that your next hire will absolutely unequivocally be a downgrade yes man or you can blow up this QB room and then assess. If no progress next season then you can make changes and justifiably so.
    • Surprised this is the only post with this take.  This is like the Rhule kiss of death lol.
