you know what I would love? if there were players that weren't super greedy little bitches and realized that you can do pretty much anything you want with 5 million per year as you can with 10. Don't buy a whole bunch of stupid poo you don't need and you'll be set for the rest of your lives. So the article says it was a 7 year deal that could be worth up to 55 million with 22 guaranteed against injury. It doesn't say he got 22 million up front and it averages around 8 million a year. If it is backloaded then it might be that much if they release him in 4 or 5 years. Remember the 100 million deal that Haynesworth signed that turned out to be more like a 45 million deal. Given that Gross got a 6 year 60 million a year deal and Wharton got a 6 year 36 million dollar deal, it makes sense if Kalil got something in the middle.
