The WR core according to Gantt

I don't really think its a question of whether or not the Panthers will deal for another wide-out because I just don't seem them doing that (you never know tho if they continue to play terrible in these preseason games)

To me the real question is whether or not we use our first round pick on receiver next year? With so many picks invested in them this year that's going to be a big letdown if we end up going after Julio Jones. At this point I dont care anymore I just want a number two receiver (and an eventual number one)

I know I'm beating an enormous dead horse but why on earth do we not get Holt? I understand we are in our youth movement craze, but seriously it is so blatantly obvious we need help. He is three years younger than Moose and is one of the most reliable WRs in NFL history. I shouldn't of even brought this up again (Yeah I'm sorry to those who will obviously mock this post) but our WR core is so incredibly pathetic. Yeah, I know they have potential and great upside but you can't hope that 2 of them step up at the lengths of which we expect. We need something more than Smitty. Everyone knows it, no ones ignoring it, yet nothing is being done. ughhh. Nothing more can be said by our fanbase about this issue because we have been nagging and complaining for like 4+ years now. As Gob Bluth would say, "Come on!!!!!!"

Holt is still on the Pats roster, he was put on IR so no one else could get him. I still say we should bring in Kevin Curtis.

Has to be one of the worst groups in the league

I find that offensive. Smith alone makes it one of the best.

But seriously, how could anyone honestly doubt that Jarrett would be the #2?

Also, haven't you guys figured it out? PantherBob is always right and the Panthers suck.

barring injuries:

i think they try to trade jarrett and moore (hoping they show something in the next week of two). we really don't have a need for jarrett once they drafted lafell. if we can't trade them, they will be cut

they keep 6, including Guy and Martin

gettis will wind up on practice squad

they don't need more than they have until the playoffs. smitty and running game sufficient until lafell and/or edwards develop (explode) later in the season

First Offensive TD of the season will be on Saturday against the Titans. Just watch, it won't be on the ground either.

So I'm guessing Steve Smith is going to get some reps this Saturday? Oh, is he not? Okay, then you must be referring to one of our tight ends. Or maybe you mean a screen pass to a RB.

I don't see any of our "receivers" not named Steve Smith getting into the end zone this Saturday. I hope that I am completely wrong, however.

:cheers2:

Let's don't write off LaFell contributing this year yet. He's a rookie and maybe he shows something in the preseason and gets thrown into the fire in the first couple of games.

And I still stand by my stance that Armanti won't be the FAIL that some folks are already putting on him.

I think Jarrett's chances have sailed.... but at least I guess he can block.
