2007:

Week 5- @NO- 1/2pass 43yd 0 TD 0 INT

We didnt have him for the preseason so this is the 1st time we ever see Matt in live game action. He comes in and throws a bomb to Colbert, of all people.. a sign?

Week 9- @TEN- 2/5pass 36yd 0 TD 1 INT

garbage time- trying to lead a scoring drive after Carr injures his vagina.

Week 12- vs NO- 8/14pass 66yd 0 TD 1 INT

garbage time after Carr throws a pair of picks and seals his fate.

Week 14- @JAC- 3/10pass 21yd 0 TD 0 INT

garbage time after Vinny gets punished all day.

*Week 15- vs SEA- 19/27pass 207yd 0 TD 0 INT

Finally Moore gets his 1st start of his career. The wind was terrible that day. It was almost impossible to kick FGs but Matt managed the game well. For his first Win.

*Week 16- vs DAL- 15/28pass 182yd 1 TD 1 INT

In only his 2nd start, Moore has his 1st Primetime Game of career vs Cowboys and Moore shows up, Bigtime! If a few bad calls had gone our way the results might have been different. But alas. we get the L.

*Week 17- @TB- 15/24pass 174yd 2 TD 1 INT

To finish out the terrible Vinny/Carr era- Matt Moore gave us something to hope for in the future.

2008: Some other guy throws a bunch of picks in a playoff game.

2009:

Week 1- vs PHI- 6/11pass 63yd 0 TD 1 INT

Moore comes in at garbage time after some other guy throws a bunch of picks, again.

*Week 13- vs TB- 14/20pass 161yd 0 TD 1 INT

Moore manages the game enough to let the Double Trouble take over late in the game and get the W.

*Week 14- @NE- 15/30pass 197yd 1 TD 0 INT

Moore takes the team up to Foxboro in December and almost wins the game.

*Week 15- vs MIN- 21/33pass 299yd 3 TD 0 INT

Moore starts his 2nd Primetime Game and shows up even Bigger this time! This was an all around dominant game by our Defense, RBs and Moore.

*Week 16- @NYG- 15/20pass 171yd 3 TD 0 INT

Moore follows up an amazing performance with another one. This is when we started to believe we might have a franchise QB in the works.

*Week 17- vs NO- 14/23pass 162yd 1 TD 0 INT

This was against the Saints 2nd and 3rd stringers. But the fact that Moore got some production out of Dwayne Jarrett was a bright spot and a nice way to end the season.

it's a common assumption that Matt Moore has just kind of popped up and been given the starting job... which is why a lot of people are still worried he's just a fluke. but the guy's been working up to this for years now... i think what we're seeing isn't the flashes of a bust, but a completed product.

That was one of the worst thrown balls that I've ever seen completed. It hung up there for what seemed like eternity.

the 2009 week 17 game against NO

yes we may have been playing against there 2nd string, but on the flip side (if my memory serves me correctly) due to injuries our starting line up was basicly our second string as well. So with that said i really do think we can handle NO this year!

Moore is a game manager...end of story. He is not an elite arm, he is not an elite decision-maker, he doesn't have elite awareness, he looks shaky in the pocket.

Im sick of people saying...Matt Moore is 6-2 blah blah blah. Kerry Collins won 13 games in Tennessee two years ago. Now where is he?? Chad Pennington won the division with the Dolphins a year ago. Now where is he? David Garrard won 11 games and beat the Steelers a few years ago...The majority of Jags fans want him out of there. There are TONS of examples of QBs that are on "winning teams" but not a lot of examples of QBs that actually "win games." To me, Matt Moore is the former and not the latter. When he gets into a battle with elite QBs like Brees, Brady, Manning, Roethlisberger, Romo, Rodgers etc...they are going to outplay him.

We drafted a QB in the second round for a reason...Jimmy Clausen will be our starter next year, if not sooner.

Nice comparisons.

Except there are a few eensie little differences between Matt Moore and those QBs you mentioned that you so nimbly sashayed around: Every one of them is over 30, has had a chance to be a full time starter, when given the chance to be a starter by-and-large fizzled out for one reason or another, and is so far over the hill that there's not much sense starting them again because grooming a QB with a future is a better investment.

Other than that, nice comparisons.
