So let me get this right, you guys are ready to put your eggs in the Jarrett basket? Does Keary Colbert ring any bells?

Yes we got fast guys, but they either can't catch or can't get any room against NFL corners.

If not Moose then we need a trade, but that will cost us dearly to get anybody of quality. Nobody is stepping up, time is running out.

I don't want Jarrett or Moose playing opposite Smith. Why even bring up Moose? Just because he was here last year? That's silly. He's old. I'm sure we can find someone better to sign or trade for if the FO wanted to. Too bad they don't want to.

dude Moose is done. that just silly. And its not about putting our eggs in a Jarrett basket. he has more potential than Moose does, mainly because Moose doesn't play football anymore, and hes not going to.

Moose would come in off the couch and instantly be the best receiver on the team except for Smith. Jarrett's done in Carolina after this year. Lafell will be good in time, but he's not going to be a great #2 in his first year. I would not be at all opposed to bringing Moose back for an encore season...dude is reliable as hell. The fact that he's old and slow is extremely irrelavent. The point is that we desperately need a #2 receiver who is at least decent, and Moose would fill that role better than anyone else we have on the roster right now.

All that said, it won't happen. Somebody will emerge from this pile of steaming crap to be a good receiver this season, it will just be a painful road to get there. Maybe by Week 8 Lafell will have broken out a little bit.

he ain't the 2008 Moose anymore. The 2009 Moose wasn't faster than Jarrett nor did he get better seperation. Plus, we all know even in his prime his hands were always fantastic. Moose is washed up.

Based on what? The ONE game where Jarrett showed a small sign of being worthy of having an NFL contract? Absolutely no way in hell anyone could convince me that Moose isn't better than Jarrett. There has been no point in time where Jarrett has been better than Moose. I don't even care that he's not the "2008 Moose." The 2009 Moose played well with Moore at QB and was hardly even targeted most of the season with Delhomme under center. Moose isn't going to stretch the field for anybody but he can at least be relied on to get open and make a play...that's more than anyone can say for any of the receivers we have right now besides Smitty.
