The whole "cover ourselves in guts and walk among them" thing was one of the craziest things I've ever seen.

I don't think it is intended social commentary or heavy handed. But I do agree it is exploring humanity at a level no other television show has. Should they avoid issues that would almost definitely arise in this situation, or just go ahead and beat them open with a hammer?

I really liked the episode though. Very exciting and for the first time in a long time I was not ready for something to end. :|

Not gonna lie, they do such a good job with it all the show makes me actually nevervouse sometimes.

I was hoping he was going to drop that hand grenade down that ladder so we could see a cool explosion and get a morbid laugh out of it.

Probably smart thing he didn't though.

i agree on the grenade. and your impulse or wanting to see the explosion i think is what this show is drilling down to. the level at which people will go to survive and throw all logic out the window and then as viewers, what do we want to see and why and what motivates us for that?

I don't know how many season this show can last but I'm glad it's in this format because they can really explore lots of issues and angles nobody else has.

Two hours into the series, a movie would be over by now. I look forward to the confrontation with Earl's brother next week, and the possibility that Rick will go back for him.
