Yeah they have to explain how he was living through a coma though, but it's possible someone was around getting him water and stuff and just left a few days before? The chains on the door make me think people were hold out there for a while. I'm sure we'll get more information, cause we definitely need to know how long between gun-shot and awakening, to judge his best friend haha.

In the police shower room, guy said natural gas lines had been down for about a month. Considering the dying flowers in his hotel room still had a little green in them and his beard was full but not really long and shaggy, I would say the apocolypse started right after he was shot and he woke up 30-40 days later. Obviously, somebody had to be taking care of him until the final few days (maybe a week) before he awoke.

Yeah that's the reason. If/when he puts her down, (and maybe buries here) I think he'll continue on. You can't get Hawkins from Jericho and not use him more in your show!
