The sun was setting when they went in, and the building was exploding as they left, which one of you jackasses wants to get left out in the dark/blown to bits while scrounging for the last 7 bullets in the chamber of a gun held by a rotting corpse that could also be a lurker?

When they first arrived they walked past some machine guns and ammo boxes from what I could see.. so they had plenty chance to grab those with them heading up to the cdc.. they just ignore things that no sane person should ever ignore.

Does anyone think that there has to be something else out there that the doctor knew about. There was no reason for him to stay recording till the very end if all the tape was just going to get burned up. Do you think he could be transmitting to someone somewhere, maybe in another center even if he's not sure if they're actually picking up his signal.

TC: it's very likely that a lot of that data is somehow saved despite the explosion.

also, I would be pretty disappointed if it's just a pregnancy. It better at least be something that leads to a dramatic confrontation

Well he did say in ep 5, "I don't even know if you're listening anymore" or something like that, to the camera. So he must have assumed someone was either gonna see his recordings or they were being transmitted somewhere.

There have been other hints too about others, like the helo in the episode where they were in ATL.

Another thing I've been thinking about although it's really unlikely is the chance that the doctor and Jacki survived. I know the building was destroyed but since they were underground maybe the doctor assumed that the entire building would be incinerated but in actuality the underground bunker kept them safe.
