Yep they got too complacent and paid the price for it.. one thing I wondered was what about that black guy and his kid was supposed to meet rick in atlanta.. they didn't show anything about that.

Unless they shy away from the comic, which I think they could do obviously, you won't see the black dude for a while.

The neat thing is, this show has a good ways more to go before it actually gets good. I say mid-season 2 before it truly hits its stride. By then you'll be able to eat a bowl of tension in every episode!

fish cooking smell...interesting. Didn't think about that. I certainly didn't see that zombie zerg coming. No one is asking how 4 dudes on foot would make it back before a one-handed Merle driving a box truck?

I think that's because Merle is already there, and as others said earlier, brought the zombies back with him.

Did one of you answer the question about whether the sister who died can come back as a zombie, and I missed it?

This show is amazing. Looks like only two of the characters we were introduced to got offed in the attack, the wife beater and sister. But at least three more got done in.

Yea, I noticed that too. My wife asked me who it was and all I could think of was Yeoman Johnson from StarTrek...

Decent episode, complacency was definitely their downfall. I just dont get how they all showed up at once, and they were all around the camp. Ed could have done more to defend himself, and nobody hearing anything is a bit far-fetched..Like the zombiepacolypse isnt... So when does Merle show back up? There was nothing indicating he went back to camp.. Why didnt Rick & Co just nab another vehicle? Are they going to bring Amy to the Vatos' old-folks home for help? Did Jim get bit? When can expect the next round of this show?

Just watched this episode... intense. The only complaint I had is the amount of time they spent looking at the sister crying.

Yeah, that first scene with the sisters lasted way too long--it annoyed me. Of course, the reason they did that is because one of the sisters was about to die.

According to the schedule on AMC, the 5th episode has Rick leading the group to the CDC in Atlanta. The last episode has the group meeting a "strange" doctor. Then I guess we'll have to wait another year.
