AMC's "The Walking Dead"

Well, I can't go panel by panel, but in the comic, Rick actually goes into the locked up room in the hospital and gets chased down the stairs by geeks. Also, I don't think that the tank part was in the comic.

If you don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on buying all the comics, go here for some synopsis on the series...but be warned, there are some serious spoilers. Also it's user edited content, so I'm sure there are some mistakes and inconsistencies.

Walking Dead "Wiki"

Don't forget Merle and his brother are not even in the comics. Just about the whole 2nd episode wasn't in the comics. And I think Carol's husband was dead before the comics started, so Shane didn't get to beat his ass.

Stuff like that.

So if the series version is taking liberties with what is going on, can we who watch and not read it expect Rick to get all nutjob? That sound like it'd be a really interesting direction to take the series, but who knows? TrueBlood is considerably different watching vs reading, why wouldnt this be right there with that?

I dunno, there are just too many elements to Rick's character in the comic books that are too good to leave out. Certain storylines I expect them to adhere to in the show, and some are probably too graphic and horrific even for HBO.

We'll really know how much balls they got when it comes time to deal with Shane. If they follow the comics, they got some big cojones.

True, Shane will be a test, but what about all the events around the "Governor", that's some pretty sick stuff too. I know we probably won't be seeing that until late Season 2 or maybe Season 3, but if they put that in....

thanks psc for at least sayings SPOILERS. come on fellas. at least throw some people a bone and give a heads up so they don't even read your blurb.

this is one comic i didn't read and i want to be totally surprised on.

The show already seems to be verging off in its own direction, I just hope they keep the core arcs together.
