I don't know you but if you have ever played ball you will know how much work goes into putting a team together, and how much work goes into just being average on a team. Being a star is very rare. It's usually hit-and-miss.

I grew up playing sports and yes I know that being extremely athletic is rare. Still we are not asking for a star(we have that) we are asking for a starter... Those two things are not the same. Besides this is what they get payed for and thats why they get paid. If they cant do there job then they are not meant for the NFL. Most of us are not.

Jeff King is to a tight end what Jarrett is to a receiver -- and I'm starting to think there actually might be some worth in that. I don't think he'll ever be a bonafide No. 2 receiver, though. The guy is simply not getting open or separating whatsoever.

He'll catch about anything thrown his way, provided you only want to chuck it five yards or so. I think he actually might do well in third-down or redzone situations. Does that mean he's worth keeping around? Not sure yet.

IMO Jarrett would be a much better WCO player then a Vertical Offense type. He really is good a crossing routes but cant run a post, slant,Go,or comeback to save his life.

I believe Jarrett and LaFell are going to be used a lot like Williams and Stewart are in terms of splitting time. Moore is #3 and I don't expect that to change but we will only see him in on 3rd and long or when Smith takes a break. Edwards if he sees much time at all this year will be or slot guy and only a slot guy. Wright may be the only other wideout to make the team based on special teams play. Many will say Edwards is PS material and I agree but he will never make it past waivers and I would rather not just throw away next years 2nd round pick

I don't think half the guys on here realize just how hard it really is to play WR.

No doubt it is difficult. But these are professionals who are getting paid a lot of money to play this game. They shouldn't get passes because their job is hard to do. Jarrett has had plenty of chances and has failed to produce. If everyone was as bad at their job as Jarrett is they would have been fired/laid off by now.

Anyone else see Gettis make that catch with the defender right on his back and then throw the punk off em and run for a first down? I'm telling you all the kid is a beast.

Wallace Wright also made some good special teams plays.

Gettis does look good considering he is a 6th rounder. He tries hard and isn't learning a new position. He's got the speed and the size you covet at the position. I really hope we find a way to keep him on the team. I think he has way more upside than the majority of the guys on the roster.
