center - QB exchange?

MM doesn't seem to have any problems with getting the ball cleanly. So why is Clausen having such trouble? It seemed to me the center was weak in getting it to him, but on the flip side even a second string center should have the ability to snap half way decent. I doubt it could be Clausens fault. (spedo pic jokes aside) I would like to believe that a guy thats had a QB coach sense the age of 10 would know how to recieve the ball cleanly. Thoughts?

thats what i'm saying... If something happens to kalil (god please don't let that happen) that could be a big problem for us. I hope the coaches are noticing it and are working on it, but so far in the past 2 games it has been a reoccuring problem.

last night put all the theories to rest... it is clearly the backup center. you weren't sure when Clausen was under center having trouble with snaps, but it became totally evident when that center started snapping ground balls out of the shotgun. every one of them were floated and clausen had to dig for them wasting a second of valuable time.

the guy should be cut or moved to guard. this is the NFL. they don't have these problems on most high school teams.

if he's looking at his shoes trying to dig the ball out of the dirt, he's not looking downfield at the receivers and defense seeing routes develop.

yep. i guarantee you when you watch the replay you will see how fast the defense actually closes in even with that half second delay.
