Actually, I've been discussing Clausen in several different threads with the guy, so that's why I feel like I'm so on-topic.

I'm reading between the lines with the Panthers on Matt Moore.

1. They refused to put him in last year until Jake got hurt. Even though Jake should have been bench after the Bills game.

2. They drafted not 1, but 2 QBs in this years draft.

He will not start this year unless there are injuries (and I doubt he would start then as it wouldn't go over well). Are they possibly preparing to use him in the future as a franchise QB? Sure. But if Moore turns out to be a great QB they will tag him as the franchise QB just as quick as they would Clausen.

i'd like to see him with the first team in preseason. personally, i think if he'd have been given first team reps from the beginning, he'd be ready to start the season.

people are putting way too much stock in moore's 8 starts and time in the system. if clausen had been named the starter, and started the first 8 games, he'd be lightyears ahead of moore with an equal number of starts under his belt.
