Seriously though, we've been talking a lot about Clausen in this topic, no?

Then again, I've been posting for about 3 straight hours and now the topics on QB's are starting to run together.

You have I just read the last page and it was OT but the first page was on topic. Like that matters. But I see where it turned into a pissing match. So continue on. lol

I'm reading between the lines with the Panthers on Matt Moore.

1. They refused to put him in last year until Jake got hurt. Even though Jake should have been bench after the Bills game.

2. They drafted not 1, but 2 QBs in this years draft.

Read between the lines.

Read between what lines? The lines that some people must be snorting?

He will not start this year unless there are injuries (and I doubt he would start then as it wouldn't go over well). Are they possibly preparing to use him in the future as a franchise QB? Sure. But if Moore turns out to be a great QB they will tag him as the franchise QB just as quick as they would Clausen.

That is my prediction.

Like the Panthers, I don't believe in Matt Moore.

before then. game 5 or 6.

i'd like to see him with the first team in preseason. personally, i think if he'd have been given first team reps from the beginning, he'd be ready to start the season.

people are putting way too much stock in moore's 8 starts and time in the system. if clausen had been named the starter, and started the first 8 games, he'd be lightyears ahead of moore with an equal number of starts under his belt.

      The point is there is a difference between analyst saying he is the consensus no.1 and scouts/GMs saying it. If you are saying the substance is a bunch of talking heads on ESPN saying then that doesnt mean anything. There was literally numerous sources saying we were taking Stroud around the combine and mock draft creators, even Vegas had him as the favorite for a while. It changed later on, what part of that screams consensus? We know why it changed...the substance is irrelevant. Bryce supporters constantly bringing this up while he has shown nothing so far outside of heading to bust territory just comes off like giant Cope. Bryce had multiple red flags, there is no way all the teams had him as the best QB. He didnt even give any other teams the time of day outside of panthers and texans which makes it even more unclear they would all have him number 1.  Thats not your substance to support he was consensus no. 1. Period.
