"the Giants had the same sort of game."

Apples and oranges. First off, the Giants had their season ripped out from under them by the Burress situation. They lost 4 out of their last 5 games (of course, the game they won was against...you guessed it...US!). They played a very hot Eagles team, and these two teams are very familiar with each other by virtue of being in the same division. The Giants losing this game doesn't constitute a real upset, in my opinion. Plus, the Giants still played a much more competitive game that we offered.

Ours was much more than a 'bad game'. We quit. Very early. We were 'exposed', if you will. Our game ended in the first half.

The Giants also got shutout AT HOME in the playoffs back in 2005 by a score of 20-0, by our very own Panthers.

it wouldn't have mattered to the big babies in here. he could have had all winning seasons and they would have still been calling for his head if he couldn't deliver a superbowl. 20 winning seasons in a row wouldn't matter if you couldn't get a superbowl....right?

Well we sure haven't been put in a position to test that now have we?

Yea and the Giants staff eventually went on to win the Superbowl a few short years later....

While our staff is still trying to figure out who is that guy wearing #11 for the Cardinals.

No way. No one could have done it better than John Fox.

Fox is not a fantastic coach. Thats not what Im saying. My argument is you cant say Fox is a bad coach by simply looking at our seasons and just flat out assuming that John Fox is the big reason it why happened. There is so much more

Is he apart of it ? Sure, but he was dealt some signifiancant problems that many coaches arent usally dealt with.

If it was a few injuries and here and there, no real excuse. But considring the magnitude of the 2004 injuries and the horrible Qb play in 2007. I dont see how it can all be summed up by saying "Its all Fox's fault' considering the circumstances.

The difference between a good coach and a bad coach? John Fox and Romeo Crennel.

Romeo Crennel was down to his fourth string QB and went 4-12, and the backups didn't win a single game.

Fox was down to his fourth string QB and somehow put together a 7-9 season.

Hell yea, that just adds to the other argument of get rid of Delhomme.

If we can win 7 games with 4 QB's we can win 11 or so with just 1 of 4 not named Delhomme.

I don't think Fox is a bad coach. I think he is a coach that makes bad decisions sometimes, and I think he is a hardheaded coach that tries to make those bad decisions work too long before doing something about it. He makes good decisions as well. I think he gets more than enough praise around here for his good decisions. I don't think it should shock anyone when he catches flack on the internet for his bad decisions, especially when they are so obvious and glaring in a game that is so important.

Tampa Bay played their backups in their last game against us and we barely won that game. So does a 6-10 record still keep him in the good coach category.

Umm, what year is this? Also, to compare the Giants of 2005, or the Bears that year, with our situation in 2008 doesn't add up. We had the good fortune of playing 2 teams (the aforementioned Giants and Bears) at their stadiums who had very, repeat, VERY, inexperienced QBs in E. Manning and Grossman. Atlanta this year paid that price with Ryan, he's destined to be an all time great, but he's still a rookie, and that showed against the Cards. My guess is Flacco will be exposed this week by the Steelers, he's got all the tools, but he's just too inexperienced. The Rothlesbergers (I'm sure I didn't spell that right) of this life prove to be the exceptions, although he fell flat in his rookie year in the playoffs.

and the differece between a great coach (Bellinchek sp) and an average one Fox.

no excuses with injuries and an 11-5 record with a kid who had never started a game.
