Is a horrible meat substitute. Yea I ate it. I'm drunk and I have the munchies, but my so called friend lied to me. Eggplant is no where near the consistency of meat. I much prefer mushrooms if I'm trying to fake it. The are better at texture and flavor.

Yeah, there really isn't a good meat substitute -- or at least I haven't come across one in my efforts to eat less meat.

Homemade black bean burgers can be pretty tasty, but they're a bit mushy. I like eggplant and mushrooms as well.

yea, i like veggie burgers, tofu etc but I don't expect them to taste like meat. if you do, you're gonna be disappointed.
